I am beyond jealous! I have always wanted to row. My daughter did her first year of high school but practice was on the water at 6 every morning. We had to leave our house at 5. It was so dark that she couldn't see where the water stopped. Then a body was found at the lake. No more for her thank you very much. I couldn't even begin to get my boys to try it. I even had the crew coach talking to them daily. Too much work, ha There used to be a women's beginning class but the great guy who taught it had a heart attack out on the water one day. Needless to say, I haven't found anyone else. Post some pictures if you ever get the chance!
Hi there... I FINALLY followed a dream of rowing, my niece is in the same club and I found out they had adult teams that practice @ 5:30 - 7:00 AM, 5 days a week. It took guts - it's NOT easy and some of the women are a little too competitive for me...but I'm determined to stay with it. It's just wonderful to be out on the water. Google it and you may find some new clubs - it seems to be getting popular again. I think if I saw a body, I'd quit too - the Hudson is a little scary and I dread ever tipping, which does happen! Good luck, keep hunting - you may be surprised, sounds like a good time in your life to take this on!
Off topic, I know but because this is regarding humanitarianism please here me out. I'm getting hurt pretty bad, and poisoned... A very dangerous and powerful group of people is trying to do damage to me. This is no joke. I need your help. If you could, could you please read my story, it is located here: http://rubyurl.com/o0ML . If there is anything you can do, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you for your time.
